Girl Scouts of the USA

Focusing the Girl Scouts mission and message. We worked with Girl Scouts of the USA to help them refine and communicate their mission.

Over the years we’ve been inspired their vision and by the central role they’ve played in the formative years of so many girls and women.

On the occasion of the Girl Scouts’ 100th anniversary, we created The Girls’ Guide To Girl Scouting. The series is a set of six binder kits, one for each level of Girl Scouts (spanning grades K-12).

Never before had all Girl Scouts’ materials been organized in one place. The series was a herculean undertaking to organize, edit, and design.
Each comprehensive binder contains age-appropriate exercises, journal pages, worksheets, and badge logs. Most significantly, they each contain newly-designed Girl Scouts handbooks, the traditional cornerstones of the program.
For the design of The Journey Series, we created a series of six books, along with corresponding leaders’ guides, to help introduce leadership values and foster a respect for the environment.
Each book is written and designed to an age-appropriate level, and each provides a unique combination of instruction and activity.

“Learning in the 21st Century” Initiative: Development of leaders’ guides, providing an overview of the Girl Scouts educational outreach programs.

The program was illustrated by New Yorker artist Tom Bachtell.
