Distilling a brand essence Fresh from the distillery comes Peony Vodka, a unique new botanically infused double-filtered premium spirit inspired by the fresh meadows and clear streams of New York’s Hudson Valley.
We were commissioned to create an identity and packaging program to launch the brand.
The bottle incorporates a photo of a peony bud along with a selection of inspiring quotes encircling the bottleneck suggesting that at times it might be OK to slow down a bit and appreciate life. (And cocktails.)
Here’s the fun part: The back of each bottle is active. We commissioned German artist Romy Blümel to paint a triptych featuring a pastoral Hudson Valley garden party tableau. The artwork is applied to the back of each label in a way that creates a unique panoramic effect as a bottle is turned.
The bottle neck wraps (capsules, as they are known in the industry) contain inspirations and exhortations.
